In their Strategic Alliance Report with Facebook it estimated that online advertising spent on the top social network and blogging sites increased 119 percent, from approximately $49 million in August 2008 to approximately $108 million in August 2009.
With this in mind, it is not surprising that companies such as Microsoft are integrating blogging functions within their standard software.
